OUR FUTURE IS DETERMINED BY THE GRACE OF GOD

As the New Year 2024 begins, we must believe that God’s grace will continue to be with us, District Apostle Kububa Soko encouraged the members at Karonga Museum Hall this morning in Malawi.

The District Apostle begun the festive New Year Divine Service with a text word from John 1:16.

“And His fullness we have all received and grace for grace”.

He added that God’s grace is the love we continue to receive from God.

HOW DO WE EXPERIENCE GRACE?

1. Our childhood in God - This means we remain His children and we continue to believe in Him & His grace. We must therefore not follow those who do not believe in Him (1 Corinthians 1:18)

2. Proclamation of the word of God - We are strengthened through His word and must endeavour to receive it at all times.

3. Forgiveness of sins - Through this act, God is able to forgive our sins through His grace (Romans 3:23-24)

4. Celebration of Holy Communion - We have fellowship with our Lord Jesus Christ through this act of Holy Communion and our strength & power are rejuvenated for us to overcome sin.

5. Hope in the return of our Lord Jesus Christ - Amidst darkness, the future is illuminated and we are able to see clearly the future with our hope in Jesus Christ

The District Apostle concluded the Divine Service by imploring the members that grace has an effect on us and it helps us overcome our worries, concerns and fears. Like Paul asked the Lord to remove the thorn in his flesh, the Lord answered him and said that His grace is sufficient and so the same grace be sufficient for us all even in our time.

We must therefore believe in Jesus Christ, believe that God reigns and that Jesus Christ has authority on earth and in Heaven. He grants grace to whom He chooses (Romans 9:15).
