District Apostle Kububa Soko, on Thursday, 22nd July 2024, commissioned the Pipe Organ at Lusaka Central Church, which has been non-functional for over 15 years.

The District Apostle was accompanied by District Apostle Helper Robert Nsamba, District Apostle Area 28 Music Chairperson District Rector Namasiku Simushi, and Staff from Church Office Administration.

Early this year, the District Apostle, through Church Office Administration, engaged Gregory Vernon Van Schalkwyk from Cape Town in South Africa to work on the organ.

In his address, the District Apostle disclosed that the renovation of the Pipe Organ was costly but necessary to get the organ into a working condition.

He also thanked Gregory Vernon Van Schalkwyk for spending many weeks away from his family to ensure that the organ was worked on.

Gregory Vernon Van Schalkwyk began working on the Pipe Organ on 4th July 2024, and it took him seven weeks to complete the renovations.

For the first time in over 15 years, its beautiful sounds will fill Lusaka Central Church on Sunday during the Divine Service.
